Audiology

The Audiology Service is run closely with it's ENT colleagues covering the whole of Dumfries and Galloway Area.

What we do

The Audiologist carries out a range of tests on adults and children to determine the presence, nature and extent of hearing loss and balance disorders, enabling accurate clinical diagnosis in a range of hearing related conditions.A further role includes the long term management and rehabilitation of the hearing impaired and those with tinnitus many of whom require the support of hearing aids/communication equipment and counseling with respect to their hearing loss or tinnitus.

Opening opening times are Monday to Thursday 9am to 4.30pm and Friday 9am- 4pm

In this time you can phone up with enquires and collect batteries from the desk. Repairs that are posted or dropped off in the Department of Audiology will be posted out Second Class once repaired. 

Paediatric

A further role includes the long term management and (re)habilitation of the hearing impaired children, many of whom require the support of hearing aids/communication equipment and counseling for them and their parents with respect to their hearing loss.
