Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) Services aim to provide a high quality, evidence based service, which is responsive to and meets the needs of clients and their carers, who are experiencing speech, language, communication or swallowing difficulties.

All SLTs are graduate Health professionals who must be registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC), which is the regulatory body for all Allied Health Professions.

Speech and Language Therapists are the lead experts in the assessment, diagnosis and appropriate intervention of speech, language, communication or swallowing difficulties.
Therapists work in partnership with others to reduce the impact of difficulties affecting a person’s wellbeing and ability to participate in everyday life.
Depending on individual needs therapy may take a variety of different forms and will vary according to the changing needs.
