We want to help you feel better when living with and beyond cancer. At Move More Dumfries and Galloway, we will support you to become more active and help manage the consequences of treatment such as fatigue, depression and heart damage, through gentle, physical activity.
Macmillan Cancer Support, in partnership with NHS Dumfries and Galloway and Dumfries and Galloway Council, has developed a range of free classes for people affected by cancer. From walking and gardening groups to circuits and gentle movement classes, there is something for everyone.
With this in mind these sessions are:
• Suitable at any stage of treatment
• Delivered by specially trained leaders
• Free of charge
• Available to carers, family members and friends
• Held at various locations in the community – not just the gym
• An opportunity to meet, talk and be supported by others who know what you’re going through
