Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 came into force on 1st January 2005.

The Act requires us to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme which lists the types of information we will regularly publish.

The Act aims to promote openness and accountability by ensuring that any person requesting information from a public body like the NHS, will receive that information, subject to certain exemptions.
