Sexual Health Strategy Implementation Group

The Sexual Health Strategy Implementation Group (SHSIG) is a multi-agency group which is made up from many different representatives from many partner organisations including Health, Education, Social Services, Voluntary Sector and Community Services.  The vision of the group is to - improve the sexual health and wellbeing of the population of Dumfries and Galloway and in doing so reduce the inequalities in sexual health and therefore help create a fairer society.

The group is currently ensuring that both the local and national sexual health strategies are implemented. We have made excellent progress in achieving the aims and objectives of the strategy but there is still work to be done.

The group is now working on updating the Sexual Health Action Plan. We would like your help. It is essential that service users and the public are involved to help shape sexual health improvement for the future. If you would like to involved, please contact us. Your feedback will be essential in shaping the way forward for sexual health in the region.

The group currently meets quarterly and after each meeting the group minutes will  be posted here.
