The Audiology Service is run closely with it's ENT colleagues covering the whole of Dumfries and Galloway Area.
The Audiologist carries out a range of tests on adults and children to determine the presence, nature and extent of hearing loss and balance disorders, enabling accurate clinical diagnosis in a range of hearing related conditions.A further role includes the long term management and rehabilitation of the hearing impaired and those with tinnitus many of whom require the support of hearing aids/communication equipment and counseling with respect to their hearing loss or tinnitus

Hard of Hearing Care and Maintenance Clinics in Dumfries & Galloway .
Hard of Hearing Care & Maintenance clinics can carry out re-tubing of Aids, provision of Batteries, advice on how to use your Hearing Aid and information about Audiology, Social Work and Voluntary Services for Hard of Hearing people throughout Dumfries & Galloway.

Annan - The group meets in the Bowling Club, Seaforth Avenue on the second Tuesday of every month 10am to noon.
Kirkonnel - The group meets in Then Cabin, main Street on the fourth Tuesday of every month. 10am - noon
Kirkcudbright - The group meets in the Town Hall, St Mary's Street on the fourth Friday of every month. 10am - noon
Thornhill - The group meets in the Friendship Club, 17 West Morton Street on the first Wednesday of every month. 10am - noon
Wigtown - The group meets in the The Smiddy, Low Vennel on the third Thursday of every month. 2.00pm - 4pm
